Another slots occupied by KREATOR and UNEVEN STRUCTURE Dear BA fans, thank you for your actual support and interest in this year’s BA Festival. We are almost ready with the final line-up. Next trio contains one of the last bands for the 16th volume of the festival.
Let’s start with the highest caliber. German thrash metal veterans KREATOR will play Brutal Assault for the first time! One of the most influential and successful European metal bands will rock the Fortress.
Next confirmed have been French ambient/experimental band UNEVEN STRUCTURE.
06/06/2011:
BA confirms CRYPTOPSY and NERVECELL. Nevermore and Norther canceled. This year’s line-up is almost complete. As one of the last confirmed band has been confirmed Canadian deathmetal killing machine CRYPTOPSY headed again by Jon Levasseur, former lead guitarist and major creative contributing force behind “None So Vileâ€, “Whisper Supremacyâ€, “And Then You’ll Beg…†who has returned to the band. Next confirmed are United Arab Emirates-based death/thrash metallers NERVECELL with new album “Psychogenocideâ€. Due to Jeff Loomis and Van Williams leaving the band, NEVERMORE announced that they would be cancelling all their planned shows, including BA 2011. Another canceled band is Finnish NORTHER, in this case for non-professional work of their agent. We will intensively look for adequate compensation.
19/05/2011: KATATONIA, together with Opeth a leading representative of current Swedish progressive metal scene will appear at the Brutal Assault Festival. KATATONIA is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year so be ready for a special show!
Other confirmed is well known American female fronted industrial metal band GENITORTURERS.
11/05/2011: ARCHITECTS and UNEXPECT confirmed for BA 2011 British metallers ARCHITECTS are newly confirmed for Brutal Assault 2011. Progressive metalcore band has just released their new album “The Here and Nowâ€. Other newly confirmed is Canadian avant-garde extreme metal band UNEXPECT. Eccentric ensemble has set a May 31 release date for its new album “Fables Of The Sleepless Empireâ€.
