English:

Eddy Malm was in the early eighties singer with the Swedish Heavy Load, after he had gained experience with Highbrow. From both bands some tracks are included on this album, with new arrangements and a more modern sound.

‘Saturday Night’’s metal opens tight, melodic and catchy, after which ‘Warrior’ has something Celtic with fine vocal hook and lazy guitar solo. ‘Enough’ is fine hardrock, but nevertheless outdated. Then, the comparable, but catchy ‘Turn It Down’ is heavier and tighter. ‘Nasty Woman’ is catchy again with a fine riff and solo on top! ‘Dark Nights’ too is catchy, but slower and more dark, while ‘Get Out’ is faster and more melodic, with nice guitar. ‘Danger’ is brooding metal and the catchy ‘Loser’ is in the same vein. The awkward title song closes of nicely with some backing vocals, strong guitar and a long fade out.

At first this sounded pretty outdated, but after a few spins, this is simply good retro stuff. Quite enjoyable!

Nederlands:

Erg genietbaar!
