TYKETTO: Live In Milan (CD/DVD)

Some things you will always remember: I have bought the first Tyketto album ‘Don’t Come Easy’ in the early nineties on a daytrip in Lille (France). At that time the band was promoted by MTV’s Headbangers Ball with the single ‘Forever Young’. For fans of Whitesnake and Bon Jovi it was an attractive newcomer. The success went on for three albums (and a live registration), but then they called it quit when grunge took over all charts. In 2010 a reunion took place, followed by new albums ‘Dig In Deep’ (2012) and ‘Reach’ (2016).
Frontiers invited them to play at Frontiers Rock Festival IV in Milan (Italy). They played the debut album ‘Don’t Come Easy’ integrally, plus few new songs. The show was recorded with several cameras. Now it is available on CD as well as on DVD. For many of you a lovely memory of youth.

Sommige feiten blijf je je herinneren: ik heb het eerste Tyketto album ‘Don’t Come Easy’ begin jaren negentig in Rijsel gekocht, een band die met ‘Forever Young’ toen veelvuldig op MTV Headbangers Ball te zien was en voor fans van Whitesnake en Bon Jovi een aantrekkelijke nieuwkomer was. Het succes duurde drie albums (en een live opname) lang, maar de band ging ten onder toen grunge opkwam. In 2010 kwam er een reünie gevolgd door nieuwe albums ‘Dig In Deep’ (2012) en ‘Reach’ (2016).
Frontiers nodigde hen uit om te spelen op het Frontiers Rock Festival IV in Milaan. Daar speelden ze het debuut ‘Don’t Come Easy’ integraal, aangevuld met enkele recente songs. Er werden opnamen gemaakt die men nu zowel op CD als op DVD kan aanschaffen. Voor velen een leuke jeugdherinnering.
