English: Today I am in for something weird. Be sure that Vampillia is on top of weird unusual musical things. Well, this is totally nuts. I could hardly write down the long titles while short fragments tortured my computer. These titles are much longer than it takes to listen to these fragments. It is obvious that this eleven headed band hailing from Osaka makes fun with all journalists and even genuine music aficionados. Why do I write about it then? This sonic terror has to stop! I am putting my time in it, trying to make the best of it, while these are weirdos. Is this an album? Will somebody buy it? Only 26 minutes it lasts, that’s more of an EP. Do we need to cherish this? Twenty four sound collages of short notice blow your speakers and it varies from nice violin parts to uncontrolled terror. I am not into replicating biographies, but in this case I’ll do it. These Japanese are good in illustrating what comes out of weird, mutilated entities. Sorry to put it that straight, I am really concerned about what happened to the country, but this musical terror you cannot take serious! Maybe I better just ignored this release, because Code666 releases many good things, but for this release they should be rapped them knuckles. Not all experiment can turn out fine…
Biography: Vampillia comes from Osaka, Japan. A crew of 11 crazy musicians and performers to form what they call a “Brutal Orchestraâ€. Completely isolated from current music industry and being burdened with both love and hate, they have been defined like “BOREDOMS holding weapons of melody†or “ARCADE FIRE hardcore versionâ€. The Collective consist of 3 singers: the screaming frontman “Psychic Yamanashiâ€, a Death voice and kind of a Mysterious Opera voice from “Velladonâ€; They are backed by 3 strings; one Punk, another Classic, and a Progressive one... add a piano, two guitars, bass and a DJ/broadcaster... Drums are handled by Chikada and support drum is Tatsuya Yoshida from Ruins... finally There’s Toyohito Yoshida from BOREDOMS as a “guardian godâ€. Since the very beginning of their activity, Vampillia created a unique and bizarre sound, mixing so many different kind of music and influences into the same song that it is almost impossible to describe with words. They toured Japan, USA, Australia and UK, bringing on stage chaos, danger, melody, sadness and noise. ‘Rule The World/Deathtiny Land’ is an album with two titles and two track lists: “Rule the World†is the story of one man’s ambition to dominate the world, struggling to achieve his purpose, he finally reach it but... ? “Deathtiny Land†is about that man who conquered the world, bored and alone; he decide to build his own theme park to fill his emptiness and…?
This is important to understand the album!
