Attention for an upcoming new band from Sweden! In 2008 bassist Robin Lindberg founded a band, but his brothers in arms from that time are long gone and they played punkrock. Only when guitarist Ciffe joined the conglomerate it gets interesting, since he made the style developing towards more metal. Mark you, thanks to Adam’s vocals we still hear proper hardcore/metalcore tinges. Strangely enough the instrumental side of this EP caught my attention, because there’s much more going on than just scream-like metal core. On that level they are more diverse, fortunately.
Listen to the melodic guitars in ‘Into The Depths’. The snappish hardcore shouts of Adam are sublimated later on by a female touch. Martina Sandström is the name of the lady in charge. ‘Betrayed By The sun’ is initially drum-allied, fast and furious; but also includes an atmospheric fragment. In despite of the hardcore alike vocals it turns out rather fetching and compelling. In ‘Revelation Sign’ again, the instrumental background goes way beyond the scream-like vocal surface. Another example are the beautiful melodious guitars at the beginning of ‘Insanity’. Okay, soon it is just a fast go-getter, yet Sort By Title makes pretty fine music, that’s why we ask your attention to visit their channels on internet. Finally they have any support of Fred Hunger in the last track. Well, it might go in every direction with Sort By Title, but the fact that they do well in Swedish competitions may be a herald for international success. Their enthusiastic work ethics will result in more attention all over the globe.

Aandacht voor beginnend talent uit Zweden! In 2008 richtte bassist Robin Lindberg een bandje op, maar de andere leden zijn al uit het zicht verdwenen en ze speelden punkrock. Het is pas wanneer gitarist Ciffe erbij komt dat de stijl meer evolueerde naar metal. Let wel, door Adam’s vocalen zitten we nog steeds in de buurt van hardcore/metalcore. Vreemd genoeg getuigen de vijf songs op deze debuut ep instrumentaal van meer diversiteit. Gelukkig maar, we hebben al genoeg metalcore!
Luister maar naar de melodieuze gitaren in ‘Into The Depths’. De snibbige hardcore zang van Adam wordt hier gesublimeerd door vrouwelijke inbreng. Martina Sandström is de dame in kwestie. ‘Betrayed By The Sun’ is aanvankelijk drumgericht, snel doorhakkend, maar heeft ook een atmosferisch fragment. Ondanks de hardcore achtige zang is het aanstekelijk en slepend. Ook in ‘Revelation Sign’ gaat de muziek zelf veel dieper dan de schreeuwerige vocalen. Luister even naar de mooie gitaar leads aan het begin van ‘Insanity’, daarna gaat het sneller, maar toch brengt Sort By Title wel toffe muziek die we even onder de aandacht willen brengen. Tenslotte is er in het laatste nummer een gastbijdrage van Fred Hunger. Het kan nog alle kanten uit met deze Zweden, maar het feit dat ze in Zweden al een goede beurt maakten tijdens wedstrijden en hun ongebreidelde werkethiek zal er wel voor zorgen dat we er nog van gaan horen.
