English:

To most readers this will be a totally unknown band, so we give you an excerpt of their biography. ‘The Void was imagined by Jon Vornbrock in 2007 after writing a handful of songs that did not fit the band he was in at the time. The first record ‘Play.Make.Believe’ was recorded by Jon in his bedroom in 2007 and is now a limited pressing. A few other recordings have been lost in piles of compact discs and tapes but may be released in the future. An acoustic album that was recorded in December of 08 has been dug up, dusted off & released in the summer of 2012. Four additional tracks were recorded to finish the album & 50 copies were released.

The Void has now finished its first full band record with a solid line up of Dean Wilson, Jonny Little & Rob Cooper. The album is titled ‘RobotSpaceLove’ and it's available through Itunes, Amazon & Bandcamp. The Canadian quartet are not exactly metal guys, but their music will probably be attractive for those with a wider taste or those who like modern post rock. They have a very pure and natural sound and they sound like they really mean it. This is not your standard high tech recording, but it sounds very credible and honest. It sounds like it’s been made with the true punky do-it-yourself ethic. The songs are good quality and drown in fuzzy guitar arrangements and driven by sometimes exciting rhythm patterns.

Nederlands:
