PAT TRAVERS BAND: Live At The Iridium

In 2012 Pat Travers put a new line-up together to record the ‘Can Do’ CD. Before that he did an extensive tour throughout Europe and America and had a band that was in top form. The two shows in New York were recorded and are the source for this live album. Pat has released more live albums in the past, but this one shows a band at the top of its game. They play inspired and with a lot of balls and dynamics.
Throughout the five (!) decades that he’s been on the scene, Pat has a reputation to hold high and that’s what he does on this album, not only with the classics, but also on a couple of lesser known songs. This is the way the fans want to hear the mighty Pat Travers. They will not be disappointed with this sixty minute-plus high octane blues rock.

In 2012 stelde Pat Travers een nieuwe bezetting samen voor de opnames van de ‘Can Do’ cd en in de aanloop daarvan deed hij een uitgebreide tournee in Europa en Amerika. Dit zorgde ervoor dat de band perfect was ingespeeld tegen dat ze New York aandeden. De twee shows die hij gaf in de Iridium werden opgenomen en zijn de bron van deze live cd. Nu is dit niet de eerste live cd van Pat Travers, maar deze laat toch een band horen in absolute topvorm. Ze spelen geïnspireerd, met ballen en met veel dynamiek.
Met een carrière die ondertussen vijf decades omvat, heeft Travers een reputatie te verdedigen en dat doet hij hier met verve. Je hoort niet alleen een aantal klassiekers maar ook een stel minder bekende nummers. Dit is de manier waarop de fans Travers willen horen en ze zullen niet ontgoocheld worden met deze meer dan zestig minuten durende ziedende bluesrock.
