After a couple of EP’s and a prestigious appearance at the Bloodstock Festival, the Nottinghamshire based band comes up with a first full CD. It’s a quite adventurous thing with lots of different moods and tempos, harsh vocals and harsh guitars, but also smooth passages that are put in contrast with very aggressive sounding parts. This band sounds interesting because of their very own approach of metal and the way they mix so many styles but manage to keep it interesting. They sound nothing like a lot of streamlined bands with a production that makes them artificial. Instead they sound authentic and pure with a lot of honest conviction. British Magazine Metal Hammer once labeled them as ‘brutal sci-fi metal’ and that could be true, but still there’s a lot more to discover. Forget your musical DNA and let the turbulence take over! Not for sensible souls though!

Na een aantal ep’s en een prestigieuze verschijning op het Bloodstock Festival, brengt de groep uit Nottinghamshire een eerste full cd uit. Het is een avontuurlijk schijfje geworden met een massa tempowisselingen en stemmingen, met rauwe, harde vocalen en bijzonder agressieve passages die tegenover bijna lief klinkende melodieuze stukken worden geplaatst. De band schuwt geen enkele invloed en heeft een heel eigen benadering die ervoor zorgt dat de luisterbeurt interessant blijft. De band gaat stijlmatig werkelijk alle kanten uit, maar slaagt er toch in deze plaat als één geheel te laten klinken. Dit is geen band met een gestroomlijnd artificieel geluid, maar alles klinkt echt, knalt droog uit de speakers en komt eerlijk en authentiek over. In Metal Hammer werden ze beschreven als ‘brutale sciencefiction metal’ en dat kan kloppen, maar het is meer dan dat. Het is een band waarbij je je eigen DNA even moet vergeten en je gewoon laten meevoeren in de turbulentie. Niet voor gevoelige zielen!
