The album ‘Stripping The Worms’ can be seen as a sequel to their last full blast studio and successful indie album ‘Sputtering The Worms’ which saw the light of day in 2012. Instead of recording a new electric album they focused on the songs of their much acclaimed debut and stripped them down to their acoustic essentials. The band performs them very well indeed and singer Tony Vega manages to project the songs in their bare form with lots of conviction, although his voice is mixed too much upfront. The band behind him sound equally convincing. Their songs have a raw edge, but still they are very melodic and can be compared to the black album period of Metallica. The bonus song ‘Bummer’ gives the listener an idea how the band sounds with the amps on 10! In 2016 they will tour Central and South America and Europe, including the UK. They surely are one of Britain’s promising bands. Keep an eye on them!

Dit album ‘Stripping The Worms’ kan worden beschouwd als een uitbreiding op hun debuut full cd ‘Sputtering The Worms’ uit 2012. Deze band neemt duidelijk de tijd om tevoorschijn te komen met nieuw materiaal. In plaats daarvan hebben ze een aantal songs uit hun debuut tot hun essentie herleid en ze bewijzen daarmee dat ze ook in ‘ontkleedde’ vorm voldoende in huis hebben. Zanger Tony Vega brengt deze nummers met overtuiging, alhoewel we vinden dat zijn stem net iets teveel naar voren zit in de mix. De nummers hebben een rauwe kant, maar hebben toch voldoende melodie in huis om het boeiend te houden. De band achter hem klinkt eveneens overtuigend. Muzikaal leunt Reverted sterk aan bij de stijl van Metallica ten tijde van het ‘Black Album’. Het laatste nummer op de cd ‘Bummer’ laat de band dan toch horen in hun gewone stijl en dat knalt lekker heavy uit de speakers! In 2016 gaan ze toeren in Centraal- en Zuid-Amerika en nadien ook in Europa. Hou ze maar in de gaten!
