Drummer Tomas Caser, the only remaining member of the original line-up of this Austrian symphonic power metal band, has revamped the line-up by introducing two new singers and asking three former members to come back. With them he wants to revive the sound of their three first albums. As teaser for the upcoming new album they rerecorded a few of their better songs.

‘Lovebearing Storm’ is majestic sympho power with delicious keys, guitar lightning and relentless drums, very good musically speaking. I found the French soprano using operatic voice a bit too much and that Siegfried had too small a part in this song. In ‘Lost’ the vocals are much more in balance and, while musically similar, they put some electronic sounds in the mix. The frail neo-classic ‘Winternight’ is a mainly keys and female voice slow song, while ‘Seven Seas’ is heavier again with majestic touch. ‘Last Shut’ mixes power and ballad, while we get two voices again.

In short, enough good stuff to get me curious for the upcoming album.

‘Last Shut’ mengt power en ballad, terwijl we weer tweestemmig gaan.

Lovebearing Storm (6’56”)
Lost (3’58”)
Winternight (5’36”)
Seven Seas (4’10”)
Last Shut Of Your Eyes (4’55”)
