The weird band name GxSxD stands for God Send Death and this Japanese death metal band has been around since 2002. They released two demos and numerous split CD’s before as well as a debut album in 2006. Now we have the sophomore album ‘The Adversary’. We can be as brief as their songs: this happens to be the Japanese Vader, it is even recorded at the Polish Hertz Studios with Wojtek and Slawek Wieslawski; the home of Behemoth and Vader recordings. Consequently it sounds like thunder, the band is technical skilled in tightness and virtuoso soloing, but they do not add anything to our Western heritage with thirteen short songs in thirty three minutes. The Swedish illustrator Pär Olofsson, well-known from his work for Exodus, Immolation and Demonaz did the suitable artwork for this high octane grenade. Those who want to headbang straight away on half an hour death metal can go all the way. Without mercy, without nuances…

Zonder scrupules, zonder nuances…
