Black Mirrors first came into the record scene with their self-released debut EP in 2014. Three years later, they scored a contract with the mighty Napalm Records and release another EP, hopefully as a teaser for an upcoming album. Yes, this band rocks! Put some heavy blues-rock, some blasting stoner and a portion of early Black Sabbath in a blender and what you get is Black Mirrors. The band is heavier than Blues Pills, heavier than Wolvespirit, heavier than Pristine and they have an equally good (female) singer with Marcella Di Troia. With their interpretation of MC5’s ‘Kick Out The Jam’ they also prove that they know how to use their sound to create an original version of a classic. If they can make an album on the same level, than I’m sure there’s a bright future for this band.

Black Mirrors verscheen voor het eerst op de platenscene met hun in eigen beheer uitgebrachte debuut EP in 2014. Vandaag hebben ze een contract met Napalm Records op zak en als appetizer krijgen we een eerste EP. Deze band kookt van start tot finish! Neem wat heavy blues-rock, wat blazende stoner en doe daar nog een portie vroege Black Sabbath bij en je hebt het recept voor Black Mirrors. Deze groep is heavier dan Blues Pills, heavier dan Wolvespirit, heavier dan Pristine en ze hebben met Marcella Di Troia een zangeres die niet moet onderdoen. Met een cover zoals MC5’s ‘Kick Out The Jam’ tonen ze bovendien aan hoe met de eigen sound een klassieker tot de hunne maken. Als Black Mirrors een full cd kan maken op dit niveau dan wacht de band een grote toekomst.
