The least one can say about Swiss band Silver Dust is that they are an original band. They sing in French and English and their music is tailormade for a theatrical approach and that’s what they do. They have managed to build a following in their home country and in 2016 they were support for Lordi on their European tour. They perform a show with costumes and visual effects, but on this CD their music stands alone and sounds very interesting.
Musically they incorporate all kinds of styles from musical to heavy metal and they blend everything into an enjoyable cocktail. Now and then the vocals sound a bit strange, but that adds to the charm of the trip. This is their second album and certainly worth a listen! This is a band that we would like to see live on stage.

Het minste wat je van deze Zwitserse band kunt zeggen is dat ze origineel zijn. Lord Campbell zingt in het Frans en Engels en hun muziek is geknipt voor een theatrale benadering en dat is precies wat ze doen met aangepaste kostuums en visuele effecten. In Zwitserland hebben ze al heel wat zieltjes gewonnen en in 2016 hebben ze in Europa getoerd als support voor Lordi.
Hun muziek blijft ook op cd overeind en klinkt op z’n minst gezegd interessant. Hun invloeden gaan van musical tot heavy metal en ze mengen alles tot een smeuïge cocktail. Nu en dan klinkt de zang een beetje vreemd, maar dat verhoogt de charme. Dit is hun tweede album en zeker een luisterbeurt waard! We zijn benieuwd naar hun live show.
