This is an European release of the first TraumeR album that was only released in Japan and America in 2014. Especially Japan responded very enthusiastic to this release and what we get is the album with two acoustic bonus tracks that illustrate the strength of their compositions. TraumeR knows how to write a song and brings in a lot of light and shade into them and writes also very interesting arrangements. It is not easy to sound original in this genre, but these guys sound fresh and eager with a progressive/symphonic touch. So this is a good genre record.

Dit is de Europese uitgave van het eerste album van het Braziliaanse TraumeR. ‘The Great Metal Storm’ werd tot nu toe enkel uitgebracht in Japan en Amerika en vooral Japan reageerde enthousiast op TraumeR. Europa krijgt als bonus nog twee akoestische versies die moeten aantonen dat de nummers van TraumeR ook in hun gestripte vorm overeind blijven. TraumeR kan in elk geval een song schrijven en weet met veel variatie te boeien. Ook hun arrangementen zijn zonder meer klasse. Het is niet gemakkelijk om in dit genre nog origineel uit de hoek te komen, maar toch weet TraumeR nog fris en hongerig te klinken met een progressieve/symfonische toets. Laten we dit catalogeren als een goede genreplaat.
