Looking for some melodic and traditional rock-punk riffs? Please do not look any further. These 4 Italian youngsters are exactly what you are looking for. These punks from the boot of Europe deliver with this album a fine debut. After signing a record deal with Italian punk label Grave Records, they booked some studio time and called Italian rock “veteran” Luca Spigato to produce their first release. And he surely did a great job. This album sounds professional and well crafted. All songs immediately rush into your brain and it only takes one listening to sing along with most of them while taking your daily shower.
And this might also be its weak point. The best albums slowly creep underneath your skin and take several listens before revealing their full glory. On this album there is not one single grower, all songs instantly sound familiar and thus might have a short validity date.
Both Valerio and Sandro are responsible for most of the vocals. They switch from song to song. Both also switch from “cleans” to “screams”. This gives the album a kind of “Bullet For My Valentine- touch”. Anyway, if you like an album topped with traditional emo/screamo punk songs, “Faded Lights” is an album that will perfectly fit in your record collection. These Italian youngsters sound explosive and promising. Forza Italia! Forza Airway!

Op zoek naar leuke riffjes, prettige hooks en eerlijke, puntige songs? Dan ben je bij deze Italiaanse punkrockers aan het juiste adres. Deze 4 jonkies uit de laars van Europa geven met hun debuut cd “ Faded Lights” een leuk staaltje af van hun kunnen. Onder leiding van producer Luca Spigato brengen deze Italiaanse jongens een puntgaaf en kristalhelder album uit bij het punklabel Graves Records. Deze gebalde cd bestaat uit 10 heerlijke punkrocknummers die je reeds na één beluistering meefluit onder je douche.
De sterkte van de cd is misschien ook de achilleshiel. Het feit dat je alle nummers meteen meezingt, geeft deze cd een korte houdbaarheidsdatum. De beste en meest avontuurlijke cd’s zijn “groeiers” en dat kan je van dit album niet zeggen.
De heren Valerio en Sandro tekenen voor de vocalen. Zij doen dit afwisselend en voorzien elke song van de nodige screams. Dit geeft het album een zweem van emo/screamo en duwt het album af en toe in de richting van een “Bullet For My Valentine”- touch. Wie echter houdt van een fijn punkalbum met een sausje emo, is bij deze Italiaanse band aan het juiste adres. Zoek je een meer avontuurlijk album en wil je niet enkel kietelen aan de oppervlakte, zoek dan best andere oorden.
Toch hebben deze Italo’s met hun album “Faded Lights” een proper en vakkundig debuut afgeleverd. Luid, krachtig en explosief. Forza Italia! Forza Airway!
