To be honest, we already had given up Korn. Their previous releases sounded so poor and the lack of good songs, nice riffs and decent material was so painful that we did not put the latest Korn release in our cd player with high expectations.

But hell, what happened? Back are the catchy riffs, the aggressive and powerful vocals and the dry, clean sound. ‘Remember Who You Are’ immediately struck us by surprise. The album is packed with great songs, quality riffs and memorable hooks. Jonathan Davis is in great shape. Did his voice ever sound more powerful? Back is the slabby and groovy bass playing by Fieldy Arzivu. Munky’s guitar sounds awesome and ‘new comer’ Ray Luzier drums his head off. But the biggest surprise is the glorious come back of producer Ross Robinson. His part in creating the old Korn sound cannot be underestimated. Clean, to the point, dry and sharp as a needle.

‘Remember Who You Are’ is a glorious return by a band that lost track for far too long. With ‘Remember Who You Are’ Korn delivers a memorable album. Welcome back guys.

Who You Are’ in onze speler.

Sterk album. Glorieuze terugkeer.
